Scholarship Requirements:

The scholarship is available to 2022 graduating seniors from any of Gwinnett County High schools
applying to the Clinical Medical Assistant program.
Applicants are required to submit a two-page essay about their passion to work in the medical field
along with their high school transcript displaying a GPA between 2.5 – 4.0.
Application Form for Scholarship must be submitted not later than May 27, 2022.
If offered a scholarship, student must be available to start class on July 11, 2022.

About the Scholarship
Lilburn Medical Institute (LMI) is awarding 14 full-tuition scholarships for the Clinical Medical Assistant
program. The CMA program is a 19-week program designed for high school graduates who are seeking
entry-level employment in the medical field. During the 19 weeks, students will learn ( Medical
Terminology, Basic Pharmacology, Body Structures and Organ systems, Pathophysiology and Disease
Processes, General Patient Care, Phlebotomy, EKG and Cardiovascular Testing, Administrative Assisting,
Communication and Customer Service amongst other things that will prepare them to take the National
Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certification to become certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified
Phlebotomist and Certified EKG Technician.) and complete an externship.
Upon program completion, students will receive career placement assistance (Externship placement,
Career Advisement, Resume Preparation, Job Search Techniques, Referrals and Interviewing Techniques.
If awarded the scholarship, the recipient must complete the program within two years or the
scholarship would be revoked. Students will sign a media release allowing LMI to record, photograph,
and publish the student for media purposes including but not limited to video testimonials, in-class
training, etc.
